Advanced Construction Techniques Workshop
Innovations in high-rise construction are rapidly arising. Moving concrete slip forms, prefabricated and modular construction methods, and new composite materials, as well as changes to workplace safety practices and site logistics, have all been gaining ground recently. These new products and approaches are allowing the creation of more robust, safer-to-construct, more economical, and more environmentally sound skyscrapers. On the near horizon, drones and assembly robots are likely to play a much greater role than they do today. Advanced means and methods of high-rise construction from around the world were examined in detail, with insights and experiences shared at this integral workshop.
